Entrepreneurship is not something new. It has been around for thousands of years. There has always been a need to survive and become more successful. The ancient Romans sat in the streets selling whatever interested the passerby. Business back then was whatever was sufficient to feed one’s family. Then as the competition grew amongst the village, vendors began to travel. They found they had things unusual to the distant customers. This became more and more popular as business people discovered that they can sell more by traveling to other areas.

The more people traveled the more they realized there are areas farther and farther with goods that are needed by other towns and cities and eventually countries. They learned that ships could carry goods to places they never thought of before. Food, livestock, clothing and even the unfortunate slaves. Trains were first built to carry passengers but quickly added cargo.

With the evolvement of entrepreneurs came more and more technology. This created a faster and more efficient way of doing business. Merchandise could be made faster and shipped faster. Although technology eliminated certain jobs it also opened other jobs. Businesses around the world were doing more and more trade.

Corporations are expanding into other countries but other countries are learning from these corporations by either merging with them or soliciting investments from the US and other large countries. Even governments are finding ways of investing in foreign trade without stepping over legal boundaries.

Fast food, clothing, and other chains are opening doors for foreign entrepreneurs. Every country you might visit, you will see McDonald’s, Burger King, Hugo Boss, etc. American business has opened many doors globally but also as business’s travel to other countries they are finding more and more business opportunities and it appears opportunities are not going to run out anytime soon.
