“The inspiration behind beyondBeanie was born during my stay in Bolivia, in the summer of 2013. Women and kids on the streets were sustaining their lives based on the money they earned selling woollen products and handicrafts to tourists. I purchased a lot of these products and on my return to Switzerland a lot of people showed interest in the colourful beanies I was wearing. Together with my counterpart in Bolivia, Paty, I created beyondBeanie. Not only are we offering a great product but every purchase is contributing towards improving the lives of women and kids in Bolivia. Success is something we do, or are part of, that has a positive impact on the world, bringing change or improving the lives of other people. In our goal to make beyondBeanie bigger and better we know there will be a direct correlation to the amount of lives we will be able to help and impact in Bolivia. The betterment and improvement of lives is how we measure our success.”
