Years ago, before technology, this answer was very easy. NO! Back when communication wasn’t so, a touch of the finger, easy the entrepreneur spent many hours on foot and out of the office. Sales were more face to face. A visit to suppliers was a once a week thing. This and much more caused the entrepreneur to be gone long hours in the day. The entrepreneur had little time outside of work. A study might show that it did not affect the family unit as it would today.

Nowadays with the comfort of technology, the entrepreneur can work from anywhere. Usually based at home with, sometimes, the significant other joining to partner with or just help. Meetings can be done by Skype, Messenger or any other form of video messaging. The same with sales or suppliers. The entrepreneur can take a laptop or even a good mobile device on a trip, vacation, or even just to dinner in order to keep up on things. Need to do yard work, put your mobile device on vibrate and into your pocket and you are good to go.

This is not to say it is an easy life. Nothing is successful without hard work, but being able to combine work with leisure helps to balance out work and life. A good entrepreneur knows when to set aside his laptop or mobile device and relax, enjoying a moment with family and friends, going to the gym or even getting the well-deserved sleep that one needs.

Remember that being a good entrepreneur is having great ideas and thinking clearly about everything. Thus a balance of work and personal life is important. Rest for the body and mind along with good exercise is the most important part of anything in order to stay at your best possible level.
